Predictions
A public sheet, dated

Every call sits on it with its date and what counts as keeping it. Resolutions start when the first due dates pass, and misses stay on.

Real output

The email, dashboard and Slack views in the hero are rendered by the product’s own templates on sample data, not drawn for this page.

The arithmetic

How a line earns its place.

Two claims here, and only one of them is proven. The method is auditable today: every line carries a score, the score is a sum you can check, and the weights below are read from the ranker’s own code — the source column is its own function, evaluated on this page as you load it. Whether that method is accurate is a separate question, and it is not measured yet: nothing has been scored against a labelled week. When it has, the number goes here, misses included.

Independent means a different channel: two episodes of one show count once. Plus 4 when a line matches one of your keywords, 2 when it names a number, a date or a person, and 2 when it is under three days old. The source bonus grows with the log of the count and is capped below what a single primary record scores on its own — agreement lifts a line, it cannot invent one. A source that brings a kind of evidence the others lack counts whole; one repeating a kind already present counts half. Two claims become one line when they say the same thing in different words — nobody hand-tags them. Confidence is the extractor’s own band, not a measured accuracy; it moves a line by at most 3 points.

Comparison

Beside the tools you may already run

Different jobs, not two prices for the same job. Page monitors, summarisers and battlecard hubs each automate something well; none of them reads the whole beat and counts agreement across it. Briefwire owns that part: what was said out loud across the vertical, by anyone, ranked and linked. Run both and neither is redundant.

Page monitors
What it does wellDiff a page automatically the moment it changes. They see the change; the reasons are usually said elsewhere.
BriefwireReads where the reasons are said: podcasts, shows, operator blogs, changelogs and release notes across the beat. Public feeds only — nothing behind a paywall or a login. A public filing or recall notice is a feed; the curated regulatory set ships from Intelligence Partner.
Single-episode summarisers
What it does wellSummarise one podcast or article well, automatically. One item at a time, so agreement across sources cannot be counted.
BriefwireWorks on the whole beat. A claim rises with every independent source that carried it, and the receipt links to each.
Newsletters and battlecard hubs
What it does wellAn editor or your own team picks what matters. Current as their week.
BriefwireRanked by arithmetic, daily or weekly at the hour you choose; nobody maintains anything. $149 a month from this page; first brief inside the 14-day trial.
Comparison as of 2026-09-16, from each category’s public product descriptions. If your team already runs one of these, keep it: Briefwire owns what was said on your beat, and lines reach the other tools by CSV and JSON, or through the read API and webhooks from Desk up.

The long form of each row: page monitors · podcast summarisers · industry newsletters · all comparisons

The bar for the first brief is one line you had not already seen, with a receipt you can open. If it is not there, cancel before day 14 and the card is never charged. Not the one holding the card? Send them the pricing section — the lines above the cards are the whole agreement.

Why page monitoring is not enough

Page monitors catch what they publish. Briefwire catches what they think.

Hear the reasoning behind the announcements — what industry leaders say they are prioritising, questioning and planning, on podcasts, on stages and in operator posts, with a link to where they said it. A page monitor sees the change; the reasons and trade-offs are usually spoken, not published. The four situations below are illustrative: the quotes are invented, the shape of the difference is not.

Where the category is heading
Page monitorA launch page appears.
Briefwire“We think this category collapses into two or three platforms, and we’re building for that.” — a founder, on a podcast, with the reasons given
Why a vendor dropped something
Page monitorNothing. A removed page leaves no trace.
Briefwire“We dropped it — the ROI never worked.” — a founder interview
What practitioners are adopting
Page monitorNothing.
Briefwire“We moved evals in-house this quarter; the hosted tools couldn’t see our data.” — an operator post, with the trade-off explained

How it works

What a line is, where it comes from, and why it is on top.

Start with the line you receive, then the beat it was read from, then the arithmetic that put it on top. Hand a summariser one episode and one episode is all it can speak for; Briefwire works on the whole beat, which is what makes agreement between sources something it can count.

01 · The line

One claim, who said it, and a link to where.

This is what lands: a paraphrase of at most two sentences, its type, and every source that carried it — a position for a spoken source, a paragraph for a written one. Forward the line, not the episode. We paraphrase; to quote verbatim, open the receipt — it lands where it was said.

02 · The beat

It reads the curated library for your beat, not the three feeds you already know.

Pick a beat — 18 to choose from — and every public source in its library is yours: the podcasts, shows, operator blogs and changelog feeds curated for that vertical, each fetched and checked before it is offered. Nothing behind a paywall or a login. Or paste your own URLs — none on Analyst, 5 on Desk, as many as you like on Intelligence Partner. Name the companies you care about as keywords: a line that mentions one is lifted 4 points.

18 beats · open one to see its sourcesthe whole vertical

Every source is English-language. There are no regional editions yet — if your market’s shows are not in a beat’s list, the beat will feel thin for you, and we would rather say so here than after the card.

What each Gaming source is good for →

Every beat is curated by hand — enough to cover the vertical, few enough to audit. A feed that answers 200 but stopped publishing is a fail, not a warning.

03 · The merge

6 sources said it independently. Most feeds call that a duplicate.

When the same claim turns up on a second source, the usual move is to hide it. Briefwire merges the repeats into one line and lifts that line for every independent source behind it — then keeps reading, so the line you saw with two sources comes back in the next brief with 6, and the brief names the ones that joined. Independent means different publishers, not different episodes of one show — and agreement is not proof: the receipt is there so you can judge. A claim only one source made is still shown, marked as one source.

Position in the brief
01
of 12 lines

Points are the ranker’s. The position is illustrative — it depends on the rest of that week’s beat. In a beat’s first weeks most lines carry one source; the count appears when a second says it.

One line in the brief, not 6. Each source is counted once, whoever said it first. A shared brief re-reads this count every time it is opened.

It lands in your inbox on the morning you choose, in Slack for every seat on the desk from Desk up, and as hourly keyword alerts. The dashboard keeps every line searchable: save lines into a collection, publish it as a shared brief, or pull everything through the read API and signed webhooks.

Where we are the wrong tool

Four things Briefwire is not.

We would rather lose the trial than have a desk churn in month two.

You need second-by-second alerts to trade on.

We read feeds through the day, not the second they publish, and rank on corroboration, not on who published first. Use a real-time market data feed.

You follow three channels and already watch them all.

Corroboration needs somewhere to corroborate from. Under five sources there is nothing to cross-check against, so you get a summariser at analyst prices — keep the $149.

You want a warehouse table you can join on account id.

The read API and webhooks push insights with evidence links, not rows keyed to your CRM. Mapping a claim to an account is a judgement you still make.

You need output you can present as investment advice.

Briefwire reports what was said, attributed and timestamped. Informational only — the judgement stays yours.

Pricing

Everything one analyst needs. Everything a desk shares.

Analyst is one person’s whole workflow — read, rank, export, whole beats stacked cheap. Desk is where the work leaves your screen: the seats, the Slack channel, the API. You choose a plan and period at checkout, card required. The 14 days run at Desk grade whichever you chose, so you see that shape before it settles to the plan you picked; on day 14 the card is charged for that plan at that price, and cancelling before then charges nothing.

Tap Analyst or Desk to add beat packs

Analyst — one person, 1 beat (one industry vertical), more at $49/mo each. Desk3 beats plus seats, Slack and the API; more beats at $39/mo each. Intelligence Partner — every beat. One account covers as many beats as you add; pack prices shown are the yearly rate. One seat is not one reader: on Analyst the lines you save publish as a brief anyone can open by link.

One person who has to keep up with one industry.

Beyond Intelligence Partner

Past the 18-beat library it stops being a plan, so we stop pricing it like one.

Beats we don’t publish yet, an SLA, invoicing or a purchase order, a private deployment.

Buying on a purchase order, or need a security questionnaire answered before a card goes down? Read the security and data-handling page, then email [email protected].

What does not exist yet: a SOC 2 report, SSO or SAML, a choice of hosting region, sources in any language but English, and an accuracy figure — no week has been scored against a labelled set yet. The security page says so in full and changes the day one of them does.

Questions we get before teams sign up

A summariser works on one thing you hand it, so the one output it cannot produce is agreement. Briefwire watches the whole beat, extracts discrete claims, and then matches claims against each other across sources — a merged line carries every source that said it, and the count raises where it lands in your brief. Everything else follows from that: typed, banded high/medium/low for confidence, and linked back to the source — to the second, where the source has a timeline.

One line you hadn’t already seen, with a receipt you can open.

That is the bar for the first brief. 14 days of Desk, every seat, card on file — cancel before day 14 and it is never charged.
