What is corroboration?
Corroboration is two or more independent publishers making the same claim. It counts agreement, not accuracy: two shows from one network are not two sources, and a claim repeated three times is still a claim.

What does corroboration look like in a brief?
Two card processors have moved small merchants to interchange-plus pricing by default.

Illustrative line, not a real one. Each receipt opens the source at the place the claim was made.
Does corroborated mean true?
No. It means several accountable people said the same thing separately, which makes the claim worth your attention, not proven.
- It is not verification.
Nobody checked the claim against the world. Two people can agree and both be wrong.
- It is not popularity.
Ten outlets repeating one press release are one source, not ten.
- It is not a score.
There is no measured accuracy figure behind the label, and none is implied.
What counts as an independent source?
One that did not get the claim from the other. A founder on a podcast and the same company’s changelog a week later are two places, but one voice; two operators at different firms saying it separately are two.
